I've been chosen for Pastourelle!

I couldn't of been happier today when I was given the opportunity to work at the amazing girls dress company Pastourelle. I expected it, as my in class design aesthetics reflected that of the company, and I wanted to be certain that I would end up there. I'm so happy it will be so!

I will start work next Wednesday at 10am. I'll need to go ahead and make contact with them soon and next week I'll delve right in. I'm working there with Casey, my fellow classmate~

We visited Pastourelle's showroom/workroom/office (it's quite small but growing fast!) last semester and as soon as we arrived I knew I loved the place. Everywhere around I could see beautiful things that I loved; Victorian, Vintage, European, decadent, adorned, frilly things just everywhere. I swear it, my eyes must have lit up as if they were diamonds. The people there, especially the owner and head designer Fran, we're nice and welcoming and so eager to have us students there.

This will be my first time doing anything in industry, which is daunting to me, but I feel with my work ethic I will succeed. I will remain optimistic, and while I'm there learn everything I possibly can and really settle myself in. I can only hope to do my 8th semester internship there as well.

At the end of this, we present a design project to the Children's Wear Advisory Board. I want to make it the best I possibly can. I know that Children's Wear is for me and I will work hard to make it my successful career and lively hood.
